Overview
Our system is based locally in the Intel® Edison, which collects temperature and movement signals from seats via the Broadcom WICED™ sensors. While collecting signals, the Edison simultaneously analyzes the signals to determine the immediate occupancy of each seat, and then sends the new results to the Cloud to update the seat status. Our website, an interactive interface, constantly retrieves information from the Cloud and presents the most updated status of the seats to our users.
The Smart Seats consist of three features:
Seat Occupancy VisualizationAllow user to view current status of all seats, with the seats presented in the way they are physically arranged
Seat ReservationAn interactive UI to allow reservation of a certain seat with a specified amount of time
Library Flow Rate
Give information regarding flow rate of each seat, and library total flow rate
